KRISTIN GORADIETSKY, PsyD
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a depth-oriented approach to therapy. My work is rooted in exploring the unconscious, often drawing on creative modalities such as art, dream analysis, poetry, and music. I’m particularly interested in what lies beneath the surface—how hidden patterns, symbols, and emotional currents shape our inner world.
In both my clinical practice and my art, I invite a sense of curiosity and discovery. My visual work features bright colors and richly textured, fragmented images that encourage the viewer’s mind to fill in the gaps. These vibrant hues often stir memory, nostalgia, and emotional resonance.
I create collages using microscopic images of cells, neurons, plants, food, and everyday objects—revealing the unexpected beauty that exists even at the cellular level. Through this lens, I aim to illuminate the complexity, fragility, and wonder inherent in both the psyche and the physical world.
Technicolor Subconscious
(Paper on Canvas, 16” x 20”)
This collage is composed of layered fragments from a diverse range of images, including jewelry, sea creatures, and neurons. By overlapping these elements, I aimed to evoke a sense of mystery and curiosity. The ambiguous quality of certain images invites the viewer's unconscious mind to project its own interpretations, encouraging a deeper, more personal connection with the work.
I intentionally selected fragments that feature bright or rainbow colors, as these hues are commonly associated with joy, optimism, and hope. Through this vibrant palette, my goal was to offer a sense of lightness and uplift, an attempt to spark joy in a world that is often burdened by suffering.
