(Dance on Video)

This was an exploration of dance as a therapeutic medium after a series of false allegations of sexual harassment. This artwork was born of the exclusion from the group, attempted destruction of reputation, the compounding stress of a Title IX investigation and the denigration of personal social value while being surrounded by people who will talk about you but never with you.

The goal of this piece was to explore the questions:
How do you communicate with those who do not understand you?
What do you do when it is easier for people to believe in lies than it is to face the truth?
What do you do when fear dominates and avoidance reigns?
How do you act when people preach inclusion, yet practice exclusion?
How do you proceed when a group acts as if you are guilty until proven innocent?
How do you handle the projection that others want to see you as for their own emotional comfort?
What is the narrative that will uplift even those who seek to tear down others?
What do you do when what is different and unknown is feared and seen as the enemy?
What do you do when you are the artist, and the artist becomes the enemy?
What do you do when you are all alone?
